CNN Debuts Interviews Via TelePresence (3:08)

Cisco and CNN have partnered to build custom Cisco Tandberg TelePresence sets that CNN will use to transform its live news broadcast from traditional one-way feeds into engaging, two-way communications.

CNN kicked off the use of the new Cisco Tandberg TelePresence sets on October 14, 2010, in their New York, Washington D.C., and Atlanta Bureaus. The use of telepresence allows the news outlet to easily and frequently connect with key CNN political news contributors David Gergen from his Harvard University office and Mary Matalin and James Carville from their home office in New Orleans during and post the 2010 mid-term elections. Principal Steve Perry from Hartford, Connecticut, will also begin hosting his weekly segment on Anderson 360 and American Morning using Cisco TelePresence. Integrations with Steve Perry begin in January 2011.
